Meet Emily, M.S., CCC-SLP/TSSLD
I came to Speech-Language Pathology with a deep sense of purpose, transitioning from a 7+ year career in media. I graduated from NYU’s Steinhardt Communicative Sciences and Disorders Master of Science Program in 2024 and became a New York State licensed and American Speech Hearing Association (ASHA)-certified speech-langauge pathologist. I went on to gain my Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) certification while working at a preschool for special needs children, as well as completed training in SOS Approach to Feeding and continued education in motor speech disorders, myofunctional orofacial therapy, and more. Additionally, I maintain training in CPR & Basic Life Saving from the American Heart Association.
My passion is building customized, compassionate, and meaningful support plans. I celebrate finding the wins of every size, knowing that every step forward is a victory.
I started Better Together SLP with a simple mission: to take care of the caregivers and support the entire community. No one lives outside of a community, and I believe that the community thrives most when it works together. I was inspired to create a practice that is truly family-centered, where your goals are our goals, and your support system feels empowered.
Why Better Together SLP?
A little about me:
Before diving into the world of speech-language pathology, I spent three wonderful years living in Sydney, Australia! I believe that diverse experiences inform an open, flexible, and empathetic practice.
